I love writing about fashion, but each time I review a clothing item and need to photograph myself, I become painfully aware of how distorted my body has become since becoming pregnant with twins over 5 years ago. I have a post-twin belly that will never go away without a tummy tuck. The fact that I am small-chest only accentuates my large belly. I really do look like I am 3 or 4 months pregnant. As a result, I am forced to choose clothing that will camouflage my midsection rather than selecting wardrobe pieces that reflect my true personal style.
Although I cannot afford to have cosmetic surgery done at this time in my life, I am considering it for the future. I actually take a size 9/10 in pants, which is average, but seems huge compared to my previous size 3 body (size 1, if we go all the way back to my college days). I doubt that I would ever have my breasts enlarged, but I would be pretty satisfied to be a size 9/10 minus this post-twin belly.
The Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland recognizes that many mothers like me want to regain their confidence by improving their appearance. Their team of surgeons do offer the same popular procedures many other centers do, but they also offer a package for anyone seeking a mommy makeover in Baltimore. This package is designed to improve sagging and uneven breasts, to provide a flatter tummy, and to remove unchanging fat deposits.
Of course, one of the major challenges of being a mom undergoing surgery is the recovery time. If you cannot take a day off to recover from a stomach bug, it will be even harder to take time off to recover from surgery. After speaking to a doctor, you should have a better idea of whether your recover time will be just a few days or a few weeks. Hopefully, if I decide to have a tummy tuck in the future, a procedure that would greatly improve my self-image, we will be able to arrange to have my husband take some time off from work to take care of any physically strenuous tasks while I recover.
Is there one particular part of your body that you wish could be different?

My thighs…They just never matched the tone of the rest of my body.

Since all 3 of your ladies mentioned thighs, I am also very self-conscious about the stretch marks on my upper thighs, hips, and buttocks. Those would be 2nd on my list.

I try not to worry about things like this. It's hard sometimes. Especially clothes shopping. :(

Personally, I think you always look fabulous in your photos.
What woman doesn't want to change some feature? I have to say I'm getting a bit soft in the middle myself (and I don't have kids). I call it the kangaroo patch. I made a resolution to firm up my midsection. Check back with come this summer and I'll let you know how it's going. (-:

@MRWriter: Definitely let us know how you're doing this summer. Maybe you'll inspire some of us to make the same resolution. :)

I don't like my thighs. I am pear shaped. I am small statue so they look larger than life. I wear outer shirts to give an even look (I think).
