For many vehicles, look for the American Petroleum Institute’s
(API) Starburst on the bottle. For every vehicle, always make sure the oil meets the manufacturer’s requirements as listed in the owner’s manual

I have a house full of men who LOVE cars and yet I didn't know.... Switching between synthetic and conventional oil will not cause any harm to engines as long as both individual oils meet the engine manufacturer’s requirements as listed in the owner’s manual.
