Silly Monkey Stories: "What If There Was No . . . ?"

Our youngest son just turned four recently.  I have no idea what brought this on, but the past few days I have noticed a new trend.  He has been asking an endless number of questions.  I know this may not be considered unusual for a preschooler, but he is not asking the usual "Why?" or "What's that?".  Instead he has been asking, "What if there was no __________?" or "What if we had no ________?"

To give you an idea of how obsessed he is, here is a list of questions I have personally been on the receiving end of just this past 24 hours . . .

  • What if we had no noses?
  • What if we had no mouths?
  • What if we had no eyes?
  • What if we had no hair?
  • What if we had no ears?
  • What if we had no arms?
  • What if we had no hands?
  • What if we had no feet?
  • What if we had no bones?
  • What if we had no skeletons?
  • What if there was no food?
  • What if there was no water?
  • What if there was no Luke?
  • What if there was no Kenzie?
  • What if there was no Jake?
  • What if there was no you?
  • What if there was no Baba?
  • What if the cat had no bones?
  • What if there was no snow?

I'm sure I left out several, but this is all my brain can recall at the moment.  It is making me dizzy just trying to remember them all.
