Original Red Dog Air Toy Airport Set

Both our sons love anything to do with transportation, but our 4.5 year old son has a special interest in airplanes, jets, and helicopters.  He can play with them for hours at a time, providing his own sound effects while dreaming up various adventures, dangerous missions, and emergency rescues.  That is why The Original Red Dog Airport is the perfect toy for him.  Not only is it battery-free, but it is made of the highest quality materials, making it ultra-durable even against an active preschooler who likes to crash airplanes.

Measuring 43-1/4" x 23-1/2", the airport is made of heavy gauge Styrene® and the terminal is made from 3/4" acrylic that could be considered bullet-proof.  It is large enough for 3 or 4 children to play with together.  The airport has no loose parts aside from the two American Airlines 767 planes and the acrylic air traffic control tower.  There are some choking hazards on the airplanes themselves, so this toy should be reserved for children ages 3 and up.

Along with the airport set, we received a Red Dog L.A. County Fire Department Helicopter (sold separately), which was perfect because then we had one aircraft for each of our three children to use.  Both the diecast airplanes and helicopter were also very well made.  Everyone was particularly impressed by the helicopter.

This airport set seemed like it was designed with my household in mind.  Toy storage is a huge problem in our house.  This airport folds in half with the acrylic terminal on the outside doubling as a storage pocket.  We were able to fit the 3 aircrafts and the control tower in that pocket plus several diecast planes we had already owned.  When folded, this set fits easily and neatly into our closet, under our entertainment center, and could even be stored under a bed or the sofa.  The airport is pretty heavy in weight, so we recommend that an adult or an older child should be the one to fold and unfold the airport, as well as carry it from one place to another.

Our Red Dog Air toy airport came with a certificate of authenticity stating that ours was one of 1500 produced, which just adds to the perceived value, especially if you are giving this set as a gift.  To add to the fun, your child can visit RedDogAir.com to use their virtual cockpit to help enhance their pretend play experience.
