As we approach the end of the year, like I have done many times in the past, I ponder how we take so many things for granted. The video History of the Modern Car -- A Kia Animated Short Film does an excellent job of illustrating what we often take for granted about our cars. This video brings us back to the 1880's and takes us through a timeline of when certain features of the modern car were introduced. You can probably remember what it was like to ride in a car without a GPS, a CD player, air conditioning, and even power steering, but can you imagine driving a car without a rear view mirror, a gas gauge, seat belts, a radio, and the ever-important cup holder?
