Sanuk Yoga Mat Sandals for Men

I love to be casual on my time off and that very much includes my footwear. When it's hot and humid the last thing I want to do is put on socks and shoes, so flip flops are usually my choice, but I am always on the lookout for a sandal that's a little nicer than your typical beach style pair. I want to be able to wear them to the same places I would wear a pair of sneakers.

The last couple of summers I have been using a pair that I enjoy and fit my requirements well, but they are getting old and very used and it was time for another choice. When Karen asked me if I wanted to try a pair of Sanuk sandals, I was ready and willing. I chose the Sanuk Men's Chubby.

I chose the Chubby because, not only was the style just what I was looking for, but they are made out of recycled yoga mats! I was excited to try a product that was not only stylish but had a lower impact on the environment, something that Sanuk is known for especially with their signature biodegradable shoe bags.  Go here to learn more about The R.A.S.T.A. The Sanuk Chubby sandals are handsome and conservative in style, exactly my preference. The colors are multi-toned but well paired and earthy.  This shoe is well crafted and comfortable. The sizing was just about perfect and they are pretty easy to walk in. It did not take very long for my feet to adjust to the new thong. Although very high quality and comfortable, I did feel a little more of the ground through the footbed than with my previous pair. I would not call that a complaint, but rather just a notable difference. After walking a few hundred yards in them I didn't seem to notice the difference as much.

The very comfortable "Jersey Liner" took a little getting used to as it is smooth and leather-like. I couldn't help but feel like I was sticking to the flip flop. This also passed and I got used to it quickly.

Overall I am very happy with my Sanuk Mens Chubby flip flops. They look great and are very comfortable.  I know I will be enjoying them for a few seasons.
