I cannot help but imagine what goes through my children's minds sometimes. One of those times that stands out to me from recent months occurred during a conversation between my husband and our 5 year old son.
To set the scene, my husband was playing Star Wars The Old Republic on his computer and, like always, our youngest son likes to stand next to him to watch all the in-game happenings. Well, our son must have asked to play my husband's character because then I heard him telling our son how to make the character jump.
My husband: "You just push this big button right here."
Our son: "That's called the space bar!"
What I imagined our son to have been thinking at that moment . . .
"I can't believe you didn't know that! I thought you were smart. Are you sure you work in IT?"
