Something I had on my list to buy since we moved our daughter into her own bedroom is a bed rest pillow. Since her room is on the smaller side and she was not willing to give up her toy kitchen, doll cradle, or doll high chair, we had to forgo having an accent chair in her room. As a result, she usually sits on her bed when she wants to read or watch television. I had been looking for the right bed rest pillow for about 6 months now. The children's pillows looked so tiny. The full size pillows have all seemed to be very dense and solid in order for the pillow to sit up on its own and to offer back support. I was worried that these less-than-cushy pillows would be uncomfortable for my daughter.When Kirkland's offered to send us their Cream Bed Rest Pillow, I thought it might be just the thing for my daughter's room. The color is very neutral and the ruffles definitely make it a good fit for my daughter's girly decor. I think the style of this pillow would continue to appeal to my 5 year old daughter through her tween and teenage years.

So, was the pillow comfortable? I was worried when I saw the photo of this pillow that the ruffles would be lumpy to sit back against, but that is not the case at all. In fact, the ruffles give the extra plushness that all the other bed rest pillows lacked. This coupled with the faux micro mink fabric (similar to velour) made this pillow soft to the touch and very comfy to use. Our 8 year old son is asking for one for his bed now and he often steals this one when my daughter is not looking.
