Warmables are a unique warming product because they are filled with recycled cherry pits, instead of the typical rice or bean mixtures. Cherry pits conduct heat better than rice and last longer, up to one hour when used under covers. They still offer the same relaxation properties that other similar bags offer, but in a much Greener fashion because the cherry pits are typically thrown into the garbage and not used for anything.
We were sent the body warmer to try out along with some eucalyptus oil for added relaxation. I have to say, I really love this product. It seems to hold heat much better and longer than my rice heating pads, and is just as comfortable. It features a 9x9” cotton terry cloth square filled with over one pound of recycled cherry pits. It’s machine washable and dryer safe. It takes the chill out of cold beds, soothes aches and pains, and eases stress and tension in muscles. It is also very well put together, so as long it’s cared for properly, it will last for a long time. The only downside to this is that cherry pits are flammable, so you can only heat the pad in the microwave for 45 seconds at a time. It’s really not a big deal to me to stand there and keep checking the temperature until it’s done.
