Chuggington Traffic Safety Pledge Safety Kit & Vest

In September, Chuggington announced its partnership with the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) on a traffic safety campaign geared towards young children who are still learning how to be smart when it comes to walking and riding.  What better time to draw attention to traffic safety than during International Walk to School Month?

I have to tell you that every child is different.  Our preschool-aged twins, for example, have very different levels of safety consciousness.  Our daughter will stop at the corner and wait for me to cross the street, whereas her twin brother will try to just walk right out even though I remind him not to every single day.  For children like him, who do not heed their parents' warnings, I am happy that Chuggington is willing to step in to help teach them traffic safety.

As part of Chuggington's "Think Safe, Ride Safe, Be Safe!" campaign, parents and their little ones can visit  the Chuggington website to find safety tips about walking, riding the school bus, bike riding, using a car seat, and more.  They can also sign the Traffic Safety Pledge, play fun games, and find Chuggington coloring pages on the site.  Keep your eyes open for shorts about traffic safety on Disney Junior throughout the month of October, as well.

Thank you to Chuggington for providing a Traffic Safety Kit for our children and for providing a prize pack for our contest winner.
