Unotron is an emerging company that designs and manufactures washable computer accessories that are anti-microbial, spill-proof, and made from high quality materials. Unotron was kind enough to send me a SpillSeal Washable keyboard for us at home. The SpillSeal Washable Anti-Microbial Protected Corded Keyboard features a washable design and is easy to disinfect, making it perfect for my home daycare. Because it’s spill-proof as well, I don’t have to worry about a spilled drink ruining it. In addition to the cleanliness benefits, all Unotron keyboards have a responsive touch typing experience, rather than requiring the user to have to push down with force on the keys like other rubber keyboards. Other important features are a detachable wrist support and that the keyboard is a plug and play device, needing no installation.
This keyboard would be perfect for any office, but especially places with shared computers like the library, daycares, hotels, etc. Being anti-microbial, it doesn’t absorb germs as easily, but because it can be completely disinfected, it really will be truly clean. It is very well made and sturdy and the Touch Typing Keystroke makes typing a breeze. In fact, I’m using it right now. My only complaint with this keyboard is that it’s missing all my stereo controls that my Dell factory keyboard came with, but even that’s not a huge issue. I’m very happy with the quality and performance of this keyboard and would love to try more Unotron products in the future.
