When we were all done trick-or-treating, the last stretch we had to trek was uphill. Our daughter was walking very slowly. I think she was just tired after an hour of walking, but I asked her if her shoes were hurting her because they have a little heel and she might not be use to walking in them? To that she answered . . .
"My feet don't hurt because they're healing because my shoes have heels so they're healing."

When we got home and the children were all in their pajamas, I asked my daughter if her feet were okay and if they hurt or not. To this she replied . . .
"I took my shoes off so my feet aren't healing anymore."
I never did figure out if those shoes bothered her feet or not.
