Holiday 2010 Giveaway: Printable Santa Letters (Gold Package) [CLOSED]

Since our nearly 7 year old son has been old enough to understand who Santa is, we have had him send his letter to Santa early every year immediately following Halloween. Our logic was that we could nail down what he really wanted and he would not be able to change his mind. Once this is done, that is only half the task. The second part is my having to come up with a believable letter from Santa to show up in our mailbox from the North Pole. When my son was younger, it was easier to fool him. I made my own letters on our computer, but this year we have upped our game. We not only sent him a personalized Santa letter, but we also included a letter from Rudolph, and an autographed photo of Santa. This all came in an envelope with a realistic North Pole postmark on it. I did not have to make any of these things myself, but rather I printed them right off my own printer with images provided to me by PrintableSantaLetters.com .

When my son first saw the letter, he did not get as excited as I had expected. When our 3yr old son saw the letter come through the mail slot earlier that day, he could not stop yelling with excitement and ran over to show it to me. Our oldest just took the letter, sat down, and opened it up. We asked him to read it out loud so everyone, including our 3 year old twins, could hear what Santa had to say. After the first few lines, our son had a big smile on his face. When he got to the part about Santa knowing that he had asked for a Nintendo DS for Christmas, he was grinning from ear to ear.

The letter from Rudolph was a huge surprise because he had not received one in previous years. He was delighted by the letter and asked if we could be sure to leave carrots for the reindeer on Christmas Eve as Rudolph had requested in the letter. The photo of Santa was also a treat.

Since our son wrote his letter to Santa on behalf of himself and his younger siblings, we had to opt for "General Santa Letter 2" because it allowed for two names to be added towards the end of the letter. We actually received the "Gold Package", which includes images for the following:
  • Personalized Santa letter and envelope
  • Autographed photo of Santa
  • Personalized letter from Rudolph
  • Personalized "nice list" certificate
  • A 9"x12" envelope option
Again, our son wrote the letter on behalf of himself and the twins, so we could not use the "nice list" certificate because it would not seem right for our oldest to receive a certificate and not his brother and sister. I think that PrintableSantaLetters.com should consider having the option to add on personalized certificates for additional children.
