We were very lucky that we were not required to have our son open his birthday gifts at the party. It is such a big production, not to mention that he is not very good at hiding his level of excitement about each gift.Jake actually did very well. A lot of his guests were saying to him, "Wait until you see what I got you. It's sooooooooo cool!" during his party. He was so excited, he barely got his coat off before he was trying to decide which gift to open first.
That reminds me, I have to get started with helping Jake write his thank you cards. He has real big boy cards this year . . . none of those fill-in-the-blank cards.
