For the past 6 years or so, I have kept all my breakables, including hurricanes, candlesticks, and votive cups tucked away in a cabinet along with my vast collection of tealights, votives, and jar candles. Both my husband and I were paranoid about lighting candles around our children, never mind having anything breakable sitting out for their curious little hands to pick up.Well, I finally decided that it was time to ease our home back into a state of looking somewhat decorated. I miss having that cozy content feeling when everything looks and smells so nice. The Partylite Siena Lights Signature Collection really drew me back into wanting to put special touches here and there around our house. The colors are so warm and remind me of autumn, my favorite season of the year. I think any of the pieces from this collection would also carry over after Thanksgiving just by adding some candle rings of mauves, golds, and greens.
I actually use to work in a candle store, so I have quite a stock of candles and candle accessories stored away. I can honestly say that nothing I own is as beautiful as the Partylite Crushed Mosaic 3-Wick Holder. We use unscented candles in this piece and two coordinating votive cups as an alternative to tapers for a candlelit dinner. The whole family enjoys the soft warm glow and watching the lights dance on the dining table.
The main reason why I chose this 3-wick holder to review, aside from its obvious beauty, is because it is an extremely sturdy piece. It is unlikely that one of my children, or a cat for that matter, could accidentally tip this bowl over. I also have to point out that this 3-wick holder and the votive cups have survived a few head on collisions with some diecast cars. So far I am happy to report that my children have been very good and have not tried to handle the votive cups with or without a lit candle inside.
Even though this pedestal bowl is meant to hold a 3-wick, I think that using a Universal Tealight Ring really allows the candlelight to shine through the colored glass much more beautifully, especially for the holidays. Speaking of which, I think I am going to replace our unscented tealights with something more festive, like Cinnamon Bayberry, which is a combination of two of my favorite scents.
