I had never ordered a Giving Card before, but it turned out to be very simple. You have a choice of ordering one to be sent by email, a physical card by snail mail, or in a file that you can print out at home. I was pleased to find that there was not an extra charge for the physical card. The Giving Card could be any denomination and the purchase is tax deductable. I was able to put To: Jake and From: Santa on the card along with a personalized message.
When Jake redeems the card online, he will get to choose one or more classrooms across the United States to give to. Each classroom will have a specific need and the site shows how many dollars it still needs to purchase a particular piece of equipment or other supplies for their classroom. I am looking forward to sitting down with Jake to read about all these classrooms in need.
