What I thought about this wooden adirondak chair:
1) First of all, I am loving the fact that this chair is built with solid maple. I would not choose anything for wooden outdoor furniture other than hardwood.
2) This chair is a great alternative to an expensive $400+ adirondak chair.
3) This chair is both sturdy and roomy. It can hold my 240lb husband comfortably. It has a good weight, but is not too heavy to move like some other adirondaks.
4) The wide armrests are perfect for resting a drink or a little snack on top.
5) This chair was easily assembled within 20 minutes. Although the instructions recommend that this be a two person project, my husband was able to build it by himself without any problems.
6) There are metal threads built into each pre-drilled hole so that there is no fumbling with nuts. The only tool you need to assemble this chair is one philips head screwdriver.
7) Although this chair is painted, you can still see some of the wood's natural characteristics through the paint, like maple stains for example.
8) This chair was flawless aside from some of the pre-drilled holes being a little rough, but this did not bother us at all.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this chair for the price. This just proves to me once again that Lands' End is a name to be equated with both quality and value.
Everyone knows that times are tough, so Lands' End has come up with two ways to help you save money while purchasing these adirondak chairs . . .
- For a limited time only, if you purchase four or more chairs, you can save $10 off each chair. (I personally would love to get two of each of the White and the Bahama Sea Blue.)
- Also for a limited only, if your teak or outdoor furniture order totals over $200, your order of any size or weight will ship for $18.95 as long as the delivery is being made within the 48 contiguous states.
