Review: 18x24 Photo Enlargement by PostersPrinting.com

Having a large portrait of the children is something I have always wanted, but we could never afford to order poster size prints from professional portrait studios. When PostersPrinting.com offered me a chance to review their services, I jumped at the chance.

I had a tough time deciding which photo to use for the photo enlargement. I ended up taking this opportunity to hold an informal photo shoot at home. This was the best of the bunch . . .

And this is the result . . . an 18x24 poster printed on photo quality paper. I put it in a simple poster frame and it will be hung in the children's play area.

What I thought about my PostersPrinting.com experience:

1) The ordering process could not have been easier. You just choose your poster size, paper stock, finishing options, turn around time, and quantity all on the homepage. Then you upload your image on the next page and adjust it as you like it before you check out.

2) I received my custom printed poster in less than 6 business days, just as requested.

3) You should be prepared to have a bit of room around the border because the poster sizes may not be exactly proportioned to your photo. As you can see just a tiny bit was cut off from the left and right sides of the photo. I was able to adjust the placement to my own taste though.

4) I am extremely pleased with the quality of my print . . . both with the color and the sharpness. I do recommend that you use the highest resolution when taking a photo you may want to have enlarged. I actually take all my photos at the highest resolution 100% of the time because you never know what you will decide you want to do with them in the future.

One thing I have to add is that I was very surprised the prices on PostersPrinting.com are so competitive. I think the next time I order a poster, I would probably not opt for a photo service that is a kiosk in a pharmacy or an electronics store. All PostersPrinting.com does is print posters. It is their specialty and they do it well.
