My Photos: Taekwondo Board-breaking Event

Last week, our children attended their first board-breaking event for taekwondo.  Our nearly 9 year old son had broken boards many times before, while our nearly 6 year old son only did it once before during his last belt test.  His twin sister, however, had never broken a board before, so she was a little nervous.  Everyone did very well and our daughter had nothing to worry about.  I knew this all along because I have seen her hit her brothers so hard that she actually made them cry.

Here are a few photos to show you the highlights of the event.  You can see more photos here and here.

  1. Thank you for sharing your great pictures. I think it is so important to have your kids involved in something throughout their lives it's great for keeping them out of trouble.

  2. Cool pics! I want my grandson to get into this. It would be so good for him and I know he'd enjoy it. Problem is finding one near us. Loved that flying sidekick pic!

  3. Wow--this brings back some great memories. My son holds second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I credit his training there in part for his great self-discipline as an adult.

  4. @BethElderton: That's great to hear Beth! That is the main reason I signed my children up for TKD in the first place. We are lucky to have found such an excellent school.

    Happy Holidays!!! :)
