Getting Ready for Spring Allergies with a Holmes HAP726-U True HEPA Allergen Remover

My wife and I have fairly acute seasonal allergies. All 4 seasons it seems sometimes! When we had the opportunity to try a new HEPA air purifier we were excited to try it as we are always looking to improve our home's air quality.

We received a Holmes HAP726-U True HEPA Allergen Remover for medium to large room to try.  The HAP726 (17-3/4" x 9-1/4" x 18-2/3") is much smaller than our previous air cleaner and its shape is easier to integrate into the room. The old machine is nearly half the size of a barrel of oil and round, not an easy shape to place.

The HAP726 is sleek and features a digital read out with a timer to help save electricity when you aren't home. Set the timer and, even if you forget, it will eventually turn itself off.

The fan inside the HAP726 is HUGE and so is the air intake, the surface area of the filter media is gigantic allowing for maximum filtration. The unit has 4 speeds, from quiet for sleeping to jet like force to clean a room fast. We comfortably have been running ours at the second level, which offers a decent balance between air flow and quiet.

The HEPA filter media is infused with Arm & Hammer to help with odors and the unit comes with additional carbon inserts as a bonus.

Overall the HEPA726 is a great unit, tons of air flow, easy to operate, and fits into a room easily. Although I always feel my allergies, I haven't felt the severe symptoms I usually feel this time of year. I am less congested and I haven't had an allergy induced headache since we have been running the unit. I would certainly recommend the HAP726 as a result.

The Holmes HAP726-U True HEPA Allergen Remover retails for $99.99.  To learn more about this and other Holmes air purifiers and filters, visit
