3G2S Turned 4 Today!

I just realized last week that my blog turns 4 today!  I could not believe that another year had gone by.  Looking back, my blog has evolved so much since its conception in 2008.  And after four years, I am still fine tuning it, but I think I most likely will always be.

Building this site was really a full time job.  I have to thank my husband, who also contributes to this blog, and my children for being so understanding (most of the time) about all the time I have spent doing this.  It took 4 years, but I am finally at a point where I am closer to finding balance between being a professional blogger and the rest of my life.  It was only during the past few months that I was able to not lose sleep if I went a whole calendar day without publishing new content.  Now, I can even go two days without feeling guilty.  I never thought I would ever be able to do that.

I also need to thank the community of mom bloggers and dad bloggers to which I have belonged for over 3-1/2 years.  I have learned so much from these bloggers, who have been there all these years for me to bounce ideas off of and to just provide advice and support.  One of the main things I have learned from this community is that we are all different and that I just need to do what feels right to me as far as my blog is concerned.

One of the biggest positive changes I had made to my blog over the years is to invite Jerinda to be a contributor.  She brings content to 3G2S readers that I would never be able to provide, especially the articles she writes about living green and about having a child with Asperger's.

Of course, without our readers (past, present, and future), I would just be talking to myself.  Although, I do that sometimes, blogging would not be nearly as enjoyable and rewarding without our readers.  I truly hope we will all be here a year from now celebrating my 5th blogoversary.
