All Around Chuggington Train Set

At the beginning of this year, we had the opportunity to review the original U.K. version of the All Around Chuggington Train Set, which is part of the Chuggington Interactive Railway line by Learning Curve.  The children had so much fun with it and just loved hearing their favorite Chuggers' voices with a British accent.  Now that the U.S. version is available, we were able to see how it compares.

This 60pc set comes ready-to-use with 11 AA batteries included.  It includes Wilson and one hopper car for him to tow.  If you have more than one child, then you may want to consider picking up one or more additional Interactive Engines.  Since the Chuggers recognize each other, the more engines you have, the more expressions and sounds your child will hear.  In addition to the Chuggers recognizing each other, each of the three interactive stops recognizes each engine and the engines, in turn, can recognize each stop.

Here is a small sampling of the sounds you will hear during one loop around the track . . .

I do think that a parent or an older child needs to assemble the track.  Our nearly 8 year old son might be able to do it on his own with the instructions.

Out of all the stops, I think my children's favorite is the loading yard.  The sounds are very realistic and the crates make unexpected sounds also, depending on what is inside them.  It really makes the set come to life for my children.

The downhill spiral is also one of my children's favorite parts because it is the only part of the track where the Chuggers can move forward on their own (with a little help from gravity) without a child moving it.

If your child is a fan of the Disney Junior show Chuggington, then I think he or she will love this train set also.  It truly captures the charm of each Chugger and Vee too.  To learn more about the All Around Chuggington Set, visit LearningCurve.com.  You can purchase this set at the Learning Curve Shop, Toys"R"Us, Amazon.com, and from other major toy retailers.
