Review: Spring 2011 Vegan Shoes for Women & Girls by Jambu

Inspired by the beauty of the rainforest, Jambu shoes are eco-friendly, comfortable, unique, and affordable. Unlike other brands, Jambu shoes are designed by women for women, so they fit like a woman would want and feature the details only women notice like contrasting colors and gorgeous layouts. Plus, Jambu shoes are made partially from recycled rubber and their packaging is 100% recyclable and/or biodegradable. This is their way of preserving our planet for future generations to enjoy.

I was sent the Cherry Mesh style from the Vegan Designs line and I am in love with my Jambu shoes. They have really only left my feet to sleep at night since I got them and are showing no signs of wear after a week. The rubber soles make them very thick and comfortable, but also breezy and light. I have a lot of problems with my feet and have to wear extremely supportive shoes as much as I can, and these are definitely supporting my feet. I even had my friend, who works for a podiatrist, check them and she was impressed with the shape, width, and overall support factor they offered.

These Jambu shoes are also very versatile, as they can be worn on any terrain and with many styles of casual clothing. Besides the shoes, I love that the packaging was all eco-friendly. The box was nice and sturdy, not just a typical cardboard box, and is reusable for whatever you’d like. I use mine to hold art supplies. The cardboard inserts to the shoes were biodegradable and all the plastic used was made from corn, so it completely breaks down too. Companies that care about the environment get a big gold star, in my book.
