Silly Monkey Stories: Mispronunciations

One of my writers recently reviewed a book about children's mispronunciations called The American Sandbox Dictionary of Children's Mispronounced English.  Some of the examples she gave were hilarious and it started me thinking about all the words and phrases my own children mispronounce.  Of course, my husband and I could only think of a few when we tried, but there must be so many more.

Here are a few that came to mind . . .

"meteor riot" = meteorite

"A prize!" = Surprise!

"pooter" = computer

I really am going to have to start writing them down.  I'm sure I'll have enough to write a second post about this topic in no time.
