One of my writers recently reviewed a book about children's mispronunciations called The American Sandbox Dictionary of Children's Mispronounced English
. Some of the examples she gave were hilarious and it started me thinking about all the words and phrases my own children mispronounce. Of course, my husband and I could only think of a few when we tried, but there must be so many more.Here are a few that came to mind . . .
"meteor riot" = meteorite
"A prize!" = Surprise!
"pooter" = computer
I really am going to have to start writing them down. I'm sure I'll have enough to write a second post about this topic in no time.
