Silly Monkey Stories: Little Trendsetter

I suppose it is all my fault. It started when I left a heaping basket of unfolded laundry in the children's bedroom. That night, when I went into their room to check on them, I started to fix my daughter's blanket, which was all bunched up. When I lifted the blanket up, I realized she was wear one of her older brother's sport socks on one foot and one of her colorful ankle socks on the other. It was not a cool night, so I thought she was crazy to be wearing socks under her blanket. She insisted on leaving those mismatched socks on though.

The next day, after the kids came in from playing outside with their Dad, all the kids took off their shoes and socks as usual. A little later, I sighted my daughter again wearing one of her brother's socks and one of her own ankle socks.

I still have not been able to figure out why she is doing that. Maybe she thinks it looks cool and she could potentially start a new trend? She even tried to put on her Dad's sneakers to complete the look, but I personally think the socks alone are much cuter.
