Last week, while he was playing outside with the children, my husband called me from his mobile phone to tell me that he saw a gigantic raccoon. I really have no idea how large a full grown raccoon gets, but he said that this one was larger than our dog Buddy, who was about 30lbs. I have not seen my husband so excited since he found what he thinks is a chunk of meteor rock.He wanted to use my SLR camera to capture this wondrous sight. If you look closely you can see that there are two little raccoons as well.

There actually is quite a resemblance between this mommy (or daddy) raccoon and our dearly departed Beagle. They both are robust and have a lazy demeanor. Add a pair of big floppy ears onto the raccoon and they could have been cousins.
