An Unexpected Loss

This past Saturday, we began to notice that our little Tigger was acting quite lethargic. He was not being very active and only wanted to sleep on our bed. Since he did not improve, we took him to see the veterinarian first thing Monday morning.

The vet told us that Tigger's kidneys and liver were beginning to fail, but she could not determine the cause. Our only hope was that he would respond to the treatment and care he received by the doctor. This morning, we received a phone call letting us know that Tigger passed away during the night.

We are terribly saddened by the news. Although we knew it was a possibility that Tigger would not recover, we really thought we would have the chance to say good-bye to him. I only hope that he passed in his sleep and did not experience any pain or discomfort.

Tigger was less than 2-1/2 years old. He was so young to have gotten so sick. I hope that he was happy being a part of our family during his short life.

Here are some photos taken during the past two years to help us remember what a wonderful cat Tigger was . . .

Good-bye Young Friend. You Will Be Missed, But Will Remain in Our Hearts.
