Review: Richard Scarry's "Hurray For Huckle!" (DVD)

My 6yr old son had always been a fan of Richard Scarry books and videos. Now that the twins are 3, I was happy to have the opportunity to introduce them to Richard Scarry on DVD.

Hurray for Huckle! The Best Outside Fun Ever! is a DVD that was released in the summer of 2009. It is the perfect diversion for children with spring fever. The Richard Scarry cartoons we have watched in the past were all about learning the alphabet and numbers. This one teaches children about how to draw conclusions.

This 66-minute DVD features six mini mysteries. Huckle leads his friends in collecting clues to answer questions, such as who is the litterbug and where did the water in the swimming hole go?

Because of the nature of the six episodes featured on this Richard Scarry DVD, all three of my children enjoyed watching them. I liked that this DVD was both entertaining and fostered deductive reasoning.

You can find Hurray for Huckle! on NCircleEntertainment.com and at other select retailers of children's DVDs.
