Yes, I'm still milking the twins' birthdays for stories to share. Last week's Silly Monkey Story was about Luke and this week's is about Makenzie.
Kenzie has always been a slow eater. She doesn't eat, she dines. She doesn't chew, she nibbles. Here she is eating her big piece of birthday cake, carefully taking a tiny touch of frosting off for each bite. We estimated that, at this pace, she most likely would have still been eating her piece of cake at sunrise the next day. Luckily, she declared she was full about a quarter of the way into the cake.
I hope she takes this much care when it comes time to taste cakes for her wedding.

She is so adorable! She likes to savor her food like I do.

I think it's excellent that some kids take their time when eating. Turns out its healthier for us because we allow or stomach enough time to tell us that we're full (takes about 15 minutes for the signal to reach the brain) :D

Cute! And if she always eats slowly and savors it, she'll probably be a good cook. She'll definitely know every nuance of every flavor of every dish, won't she? Not like my dad, who sucks things down so fast you suspect he didn't taste it!

She looks like she is savoring every bite. They say if you each slowly you won't put on weight as you will feel yourself fill up.
The last one looks like she is ready to fall asleep. :-)
