Giveaway & Review: Fandangling Ceiling Fan Decor [CLOSED]

I've always thought ceiling fans were an unsightly necessity, especially if you do not have central air. I think the designers on Trading Spaces had drilled that fact into my brain. I actually have yet to see an attractive ceiling fan. The best you can hope for is one that blends into the ceiling and does not draw too much attention to itself.

Well a mom-created product called Fandangling has set out to prove me wrong. Fandangling offers a kit, which contains 5 plush themed ornaments that hang from your ceiling fan blades.

I chose a set of butterflies because I thought they would look pretty twirling around in the air. Since my daughter is 3yrs old, these would be used for decor purposes rather than entertainment. If I had an infant, I would have selected a kit that had a variety of different animals or objects.

The Fandangling kit comes with 5 plush ornaments, each of which are attached to a Velcro square with a ribbon. There are also ten self-adhesive Velcro squares to attach to the top of your fan blades. Five are to use right away and the other five can be saved to use on another fan.

The installment was extremely easy, especially if you have a tall husband with long arms who can reach the top of the fan blades without a stepstool. The butterflies were extremely lightweight and did not affect the performance of the fan at all. If you are using the Fandangling for a mobile effect, I would recommend putting the fan on the slowest setting. When turned up one notch, the butterflies are moving too fast to enjoy. For this reason, I would remove the butterflies when the hot and humid weather arrives, so that we can use the fan on the highest setting.

Our ceiling fan only has four blades, so we put the fifth butterfly in the center. It doesn't float like the other ones, but it does rotate. I have to admit that these ornaments do add some fun to the ceiling fan. I would recommend Fandangling for bedrooms of infants all the way up to tweens. They would also be great for playrooms.

Even though my children are too old to be entertained by Fandangling, there is someone in our house who is not . . .

Fandangling is available to be purchased online only at Fandangling.com for $19.95 plus $3 shipping to anywhere in the United States. Currently there are 13 different themed kits to choose from. Fandangling donates 10% of all proceeds to charity. The current charities they are partnering with are Build, Animal Friends, and ACEP.
