The day after Thanksgiving, I woke up with a pretty serious sore throat and I was achy all over. By mid-Saturday, I knew I was definitely coming down with something. By Saturday evening, I had a 102 temperature and I knew that the something was probably the flu.
On Sunday, my kindergartner Jake came to visit me while I was resting in bed. He drew this wonderful get well picture for me. Of course, his picture came with an explanation.
"MumMum, a lot of those things look like peanuts, but they're actually all hearts."

When I had asked Jake if that was him depicted in the upper right hand corner, he said . . .
"No, that's a picture of you."
Well, the way I must have looked after two days in bed with the flu, I'd have to say that portrait was pretty accurate.
