On the episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine titled "Unreliable", Christine proved to her best friend Barb once again what a flaky friend she is. I'm sure we've all had at least one friend like that during our lifetime. Luckily, I don't have any friends like that currently, but I did during my more carefree days during high school.

This friend was almost always late, whether I was meeting her somewhere or picking her up at her house. It was pretty much a guarantee that when I showed up at her door to pick her up that she still was not dressed to go out and her hair was still wet because she had just gotten out of the shower. Fortunately, I never had to depend on her to keep me from being deported as Barb had depended on Christine. The funny thing was that my friend would have denied her chronic tardiness just as Christine was utterly shocked that Barb would insinuate that she was an unreliable friend.

On a serious note, as a busy wife and mom of 3 young children, I would not have much room in my life for an unreliable friend. I need to surround myself with people I can depend on and people who respect other people's time.
