Disney's JoJo & Goliath and the Blue Power Ranger

Four years ago, we started a tradition of taking Jake to go trick-or-treating at a mall in a nearby town between 3pm and 5pm. Then we would make it home in time to pass out candy to the other trick-or-treaters. This really worked out for us because the mall is safer and the kids get to pass out candy and see all the fun costumes.

Last year, Luke got car sick and vomited all over his costume. That tends to only happen to him when we go on the highway. I'm happy to report that he did not get sick traveling to or from the mall this year.

Below is a photo of the kids about to start trick-or-treating at the mall. I did not realize it until we got to the Disney Store that all 3 were dressed in Disney costumes this year. Makenzie and Luke were dressed as JoJo and her lion Goliath from Playhouse Disney's JoJo's Circus. Jake was dressed as the Blue Jungle Fury Power Ranger.

Don't let their somber expressions fool you. The twins had a blast once they figured out people were giving them candy. Makenzie smiled the whole time because we put her Wee Squeak shoes on under her costume so she could have squeaky clown shoes. We saw one other JoJo trick-or-treating, who was about the same age as Makenzie, and the two girls just stared at each other in amazement.

By the time we got home, we had 3 tuckered out children. It didn't help that it was in the mid to high 70s here in Massachusetts. Of course, none of them were too tired to sort through their loot. The twins ultimately changed out of their costumes before dinner, but Jake kept his on so he could show it off to the trick-or-treaters who came to our door.

It was a lot of work, but I think we successfully created some fun Halloween memories this year!
