Building My Toddler's Wardrobe Without Breaking the Bank

I am lucky that I do not have to worry very much about my toddler son having enough cute clothing pieces since he inherited my kindergartner's wardrobe from previous years. I am not so lucky with his twin sister because she is my first and only daughter.

I admit that I like my children to look adorable at all times, even if they are just spending the day at home because I am constantly snapping photos of them. How I usually build my children's wardrobes is by shopping the end-of-the-season clearance sales from the year before. I normally can predict what size my children will be the following year, with the exception of shoes.

I just went through my stash of fall and winter clothing for my daughter the other night. Well, my system has failed me. I predicted that she would be in a size 3T on top and a size 2T on the bottom. I miscalculated because she had a growth spurt and size 2T pants are just barely long enough for her now. How will they last her until spring? Also, I could not for the life of me find a good winter coat on clearance at the end of last winter for her.

I've been looking for the past two days online for an affordable winter coat for my daughter. I have not been able to find anything for under $40. That is just too much to me for something she will only wear for 3 months. So now I need to turn to outlet stores, like the Gap Outlet. Of course I would prefer to shop from a reputable retailer before I turn to a resource like eBay. Luckily for me, there is a Gap Outlet in my hometown, which is only located about a half an hour away from my home. Find a Gap Outlet near you.
