Review: Pediped Flex Girls Sandals

I may have mentioned once or twice (or a hundred times) that my little 2.5yr old daughter is turning into quite the little fashion bug. She likes purses okay and she really has a thing for hats, but she is truly crazy for shoes. When I unwrapped these girls sandals for my daughter, her little face lit up. She grabbed them and was determined to put them on that very minute. We were lucky that it was already after nap time because six hours later she still refused to take them off her feet.

What I thought about these toddler shoes from Pediped:

1) This particular style is fun, cute and versatile enough to go with shorts and dresses in a variety of colors.

2) I love the Flex sole. They feel well-cushioned and are extremely flexible, but offer support at the same time . . . just what an active toddler needs. After seeing and handling these shoes, I believe that they are "the next best thing to bare feet!"

3) I like having Velcro across the top of the foot and at the ankle. This allows us to adjust the shoe to custom fit my daughter's feet. Although my daughter does not have wide feet, I imagine this would be a lifesaver for parents of children who do.

4) Having the Velcro closures also offers my daughter an opportunity to be independent because she can put these shoes on and take them off all on her own.

I have to say that, as someone who often relies on major brands for shoes, I am extremely impressed with this smaller, but fast growing company. I cannot wait to see what Pediped has in store for us this fall for their Flex line, which is for children up to 6 years of age and perfect for my 3. I believe the line will be unveiled in August. Currently you can purchase Pediped shoes online at Pediped.com or locally at select stores like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.
