  1. Sarah Said,

Karen you know I'm going to stalk this contest right? What do I love about family dinners? That we are all in the house at the same time! It happens so rarely with Daddy's hours that I relish it every time it happens.

  6. Izzy 'N Emmy Said,

I also like to eat all of our other meals together because it's fun to start the morning off with the girls in a good mood and laughing. Nothing bad has happened and neither one of them is upset. They've just woken up, they are happy and watching them sip their milk and eat their toast is so peaceful!

  37. One thing I enjoy about eating together at home as a family....spending time talking with my girls. My daughters are 13 and 10 and we sit down every night at the kitchen table for dinner as a family, even if we order pizza. We just talk about our day or joke around. My daughters friends all like coming over for dinner (they have to sit at the kitchen table too, lol). Also, my daughters really got to know my fiance over the last 5 years because of dinner time :)

  39. I also have a 21 yr old son who has my 16 month old grandson. When they come over and I'm cooking, my grandson pushes his highchair (it has wheels) to the kitchen table. I think he already enjoys dinner time. But then again he is a ham and loves the attention he gets when he's making a mess with dinner :)

  40. I grew up with sitting down to family dinner every night. I have so many fond memories. I hope my kids take the same memories. It's sad that all kids can't grow up like this. My kids also have excellent manners, they ask to be excused and clear they plate. My parents, my siters, and I still tend to congregate at the kitchen table at my parents house, lol

  41. Julianne Said,

We have a big family. Dinner time is the ONLY time we all get together in the same day and hook up. It is a chance to make sure everybody in our family is remaining bonded and concerned for each other. It is where we share our joys, struggles, and hopes.

It is also where I get to hear everybody's input about how they want me to prepare their food next time. Do I look like a short-order cook??? LOL!

This is a great giveaway! Thank you!

  101. I love that eating at home as a family also gives us a chance to catch up on our days activities :) with 3 kids (ages 13 1/2, 10, and 4) this is very important bonding time!

  102. I also love eating at home together as a family because it gives my husband and I a chance to impart our values/beliefs through letting each one of them pray before our meal and talking about how God has blessed us as we eat :) (the younger 2 love to do this by going through the alphabet and saying something they are thankful for for each letter...1 person does A, next one does B, and it goes around the table until we get to Z...*whew* lol)

Being together also gives me time to talk to my husband on a more informal level.
